FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
It is with a great sense of anticipation that I welcome the opportunity to become part of the LIBI family as your next Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President. The home building industry, in all of its parts, is a very important ingredient within the Long Island economy and its preservation and success is essential to ensuring the success of the Long Island we all love. I am very hopeful that I can work with all of you within LIBI to provide significant benefits to all as we continue to battle both the current economic downturn and significant community and governmental issues.
I have had the pleasure of working with many of you during my years first in the New York State Legislature, then during my 21 years at the Long Island Association and finally my 4 years at Weber Law Group. I look forward to your suggestions, concerns, ideas and views on how to make LIBI the best trade association in New York State. Please take the time to e mail me at mitch@libi.org and let me know what you think LIBI is doing well and what it can improve on to make your business more successful. I can assure you that I will review all recommendations to see what we can implement as soon as possible.
Once again I cannot tell you how proud and honored I am to be a part of the LIBI family starting on January 10, 2011. On behalf of my entire family, best wishes for a Happy Holiday season and Happy New Year. I look forward to meeting all of you in 2011 and making it a great year for the homebuilding industry.
