Welcome to the Long Island Builders Institute’s web site.

As a lifelong Long Islander I have come to appreciate the many reasons why 2.7 million people proudly call Long Island home. The physical beauty of the region combined with a multitude of recreational and leisure options – not to mention its proximity to the most exciting city in the world – makes Long Island special.

The Long Island Builders Institute member companies – 700-strong home builders, remodelers and associated companies – understand that specialness and how important  “quality of life” is to Long Islanders because we are all Long Islanders. That is why you can be sure if a LIBI member is given an opportunity to build or remodel your home the task will be completed in a timely and competent fashion, with the end result being something you can be proud of for years to come.

LIBI members don’t need LIBI to make a living. Anyone can slap a sign on the side of their truck and call themselves a builder or remodeler. By joining LIBI a builder or remodeler is demonstrating his or her commitment to the Long Island community and to the understanding that everything we do is not only a reflection on the builder/remodeler but on the community, as well.

Long Islanders looking to build or remodel face a big decision. You can make that decision a little easier by choosing a LIBI member because LIBI members care about Long Island and about you.
