Meets at the call of the Chairman. Open to representative
of the Remodeler’s Council and the Associate
Council, each town sub-committee chair of the Government
Affairs Committee, and any interested member. Mission
is to raise and dispense funds derived from member
voluntary contributions, PAC golf outings, and drawings
at general membership meetings, in accordance with
the objectives of the LIBI Board. Candidates will
be screened. Objective is to disperse funds and
to plan special PAC events for 2008 general election
and encourage LIBI members to contribute to PAC
efforts. |
PUBLIC
RELATIONS COMMITTEE

Vice-Chair: Debbie Davey
Meets at the call of the Chairman. Open to all interested
members. Mission is to preserve development opportunity
in a climate of overwhelming public support for
preservation through land acquisition. To encourage
local governments to resolve the equally supported
public demand for affordable housing. Objective
is to plan and implement an industry response, putting
forth the concepts of sensible growth and preservation
through development, with voter mobilization, legal
action and opinion leader and public information. |

by-laws changes in accordance to keep our by-laws
current and reflective of members emerging needs. |

HALL OF FAME

Mission is to develop a formal Hall of Fame program
for LIBI to honor those who contributed to Long

is to supervise management of the LIBI Worker’s
Compensation Group, establish annual dividend, work
with State Insurance Fund, and retain a Safety Group
administrator and Managing Agent. Objective is to
service the needs of the Safety Group members and
to assure collection of budgeted Safety Conduct
Seminar payroll, evaluate
proposals for endorsement and recommend their adoption.
To supervise ongoing insurance - health, general
liability, and statutory disability insurance programs.
To evaluate and recommend adoption of group insurance
proposals from outside vendors. |

Formed in 2004, the Council meets monthly and is
dedicated to developing and promoting skills and
professionalism in sales and marketing through continuing
education, exchange of ideas and recognition of
outstanding achievement. Open to all LIBI industry
professionals. As part of the National Association
of Homebuilders Sales and Marketing Council, the
council holds monthly meetings to discuss trends,
examine industry wide issues and hold informational
seminars and training. |
REMODELORS
COUNCIL

LIBI’s remodeler membership, to develop Remodelers
night general membership meeting and achieve high
visibility for LIBI remodelers at public shows,
and provide liaison with NAHB’s Remodelers
Council.Objective is to participate in LIBI’s
PAC, government affairs, membership, and program
committees. Increase builder/remodeler membership
and seek publicity through HELPS actions, and participate
in spring and fall public trade shows. |
APARTMENT

activities, consistent with Board policy. Objective
is to achieve satisfactory result on the Southampton
Town Master Plan revision, Southold Planning Study,
Peconic Estuary Study conclude moratoria. |
